Some images have showed up lately on APOD from old Hubble data reprocessed with this technique.
I couldn't decide which I liked better, so I have kept both. This view is just so unconventional compared to the usual Rosette image that I have trouble getting used to it, even if it does show more delicate nebulosity and structure. Sort of like the unconventional views of
NGC6543 and
M104 shown recently on APOD that were processed with the same algorithm.
