The setup I use when I need to zoom in on small objects like most galaxies and planetary nebulae. Also good for most globular clusters.
The long focal length setup is a C9.25 shooting reduced to 1480mm (f/6.3).
While the C9.25 has it's uses and can't be replaced, I have trouble getting good focus through the entire field and the colors can be washed out due to less contrast. It is still King of SCT's.
