Winner Cloudy Nights August, 2010 Challenge - Here and Here

VdB 142 (composed of two nebulae - IC1396A and IC1396B) is an exceedingly popular target for astro-imagers. The contrast and detail it provides, plus it's high signal level make it a perennial favorite in both conventional and narrowband imaging circles.

IC1396A is the "Elephant's Trunk" Nebula, and is the left part of the nebula with the "eye" in the end, and IC1396B is the right portion of the nebula coming in from the right of the frame.
